Accident & Emergency (A&E) has dedicated medical personnels that specialize in treating patients who are suffering from acute serious illness or injury that would lead to severe complications if not treated quickly. Patients requiring urgent attention will always be seen first. Treatment is based on clinical needs, not necessarily in order of arrival. To ensure the sickest patients are seen first, a triage is used to categorise patients. It is performed by an experienced nurse and occurs soon after arrival.

After triage, patients wait until their names are called. Our medical officers will further examine them. We may need to order diagnostic tests or an x-ray. If admission is required, patients will be referred to our Specialists. They could be transferred to our operation rooms, wards, ICU or CCU, depending on their conditions. If admission is not required, follow up care will be discussed and medications prescribed.
